DesignMD Extractor is a browser extension and backend service that helps users extract public webpage design information and generate a DESIGN.md file for AI coding tools.
User action required
The extension is intended to run only after the user starts an analysis from the extension UI. Users are responsible for choosing pages they are allowed to analyze and for complying with website terms and applicable law.
Activation codes and quota
Free quota, paid quota, monthly membership, and BYOK access are controlled by activation codes and device binding. Activation codes may be rejected if they are invalid, expired, already bound to another device, or suspected of abuse.
BYOK
BYOK allows users to enter their own OpenAI-compatible model endpoint and API key. Users are responsible for the cost, availability, security, and policy compliance of their own model provider. BYOK API keys are stored locally in browser extension storage and are not uploaded to our server.
Data and privacy
Use of the extension is subject to the Privacy Policy. Cloud generation sends the extracted design summary and a compressed screenshot to the official backend only when the user requests DESIGN.md generation. BYOK requests are sent directly to the endpoint entered by the user.
Availability
We aim to keep the service available, but AI generation can be affected by network conditions, model provider availability, quota limits, browser restrictions, and reverse proxy timeouts. We may update, limit, or discontinue features as the product evolves.
